The Story Behind ModernAthletes
Modern Athletes was founded by Lorik Kosumi, the youngest agent ever to launch his own agency at just 18 years old. A true football fanatic, Lorik lives and breathes the game. After coming through the youth academy of Lausanne-Sport, he witnessed first-hand how favoritism and connections often overshadow real talent.
Determined to change that, he created Modern Athletes with one clear mission: to give opportunities to players who truly deserve them, not just to those with the right contacts.

At ModernAthletes, we actively scout talent every week, attending matches to identify players who truly deserve an opportunity. Beyond our scouting network, we also welcome applications from players who believe in their potential. Through our website, any player can reach out — with or without highlights — to request a phone meeting where we review their profile, ambitions, and career goals. For minors, this step is conducted in the presence of their parents.

All our contracts and activities are strictly governed by FIFA regulations, ensuring full compliance with international standards for player representation. This means that players are protected by a clear legal framework, and that our agency operates with complete transparency and professionalism.

The signing process at ModernAthletes is simple, transparent, and free of any initial costs. As per FIFA rules, our agency does not charge players upfront fees. Instead, remuneration is tied to results: we only succeed when our athletes succeed.

The process begins with a phone call, where we carefully evaluate the player’s needs and ambitions. Together, we define the terms of collaboration — expectations, responsibilities, and long-term objectives. Once mutual agreement is reached, contractual documents are prepared in line with FIFA guidelines.

For maximum convenience, players can choose to receive their contracts via email or by postal mail. At every stage, our priority is to keep the process straightforward, transparent, and entirely player-focused.
